Ingredients
- 1 cup basmati rice
- 1 1/2 cup water
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon oil or butter
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Wash the rice and drain.
- In a saucepan, bring water to a boil.
- Stir in the rice, oil or butter, vinegar, lemon juice season with salt and pepper.
- Cover and reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes or until all water is absorbed.
- Test the rice if it needs a bit of water you can add to it now.
- Fluff with a fork and serve warm
