Salaamu alaikum,
This recipe looks SO good. I love fried dough, but I’ve never tried it with banana. Love your site.
I also like to soak it with syrup!
Yum!
🙂
This may seem like a silly question, but what type of flour should be used. Plain or self raising?
Thank you!
🙂
P.S i love this site!

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I made these twice now and i have to be honest, first time i made them with the cardamom, but my dh and myself found it over powering in taste, so i made them again and left out the cadamom, we really enjoyed them so make them quite often now but with out the cardamom
Thanks Halima for your comment, I am glad you left out the cardamom to suit your taste.

I tried this, however the middle was wet and not cooked. I added the baking powder as you specified, I wonder what went wrong.
Salaam Safia
Sorry to hear tat it was not cooked I am not sure why that happens could it be the temperature of the oil, try to keep the oil between 350-375 if you have thermometer.
If the oil is too cold the fritters will be oily and soggy and if too hot they brown too quick and will not cook in the center.
Try to keep the oil at a constant temperature, and do not overcrowd the pan.
I hope this helps..
