It takes about an hour to cook, depending the how soft or creamy you like,
Serve hot with butter, honey, milk, buttermilk, or yogurt.

Ingredients
- 1 cup Pearl Barley
- 6 cups of water
- salt
- Cinnamon
- butter optional
- milk
Instructions
- In a large saucepan bring the water to a boil, add salt to taste add the barley, simmer uncoverd utill tender for an hour. Add more milk and cook untill reached disired consistency for a creamier barley.
- Serve with more milk, yogurt, buttermilk, butter and cinnamon to taste.
