Easy Baajiya these are black-eye fritters this snack served with green chili sauce, so fragrant so good once you try this you will never go back. Very popular during Ramadan in East Africa.
Easy Baajiya Blacked-eye Fritters

Ingredients
- 2 cups Blacked-eye beans, soaked overnight and drained
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, chopped
- 1 tablespoon cilantro, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon cumi powder
- 1 green chili, chopped optional
Instructions
- Put all the ingredients in a food processor and pulse in to a paste or place them mortal and pestle in batches and and grind them in to a paste.
- If you have time let them sit in the fridge for 2 hours.
- Heat the oil in a pan on medium heat and fry spoonfuls of the mixture until golden brown.
- Serve with green chilli sauce or what ever sauce you like.
Basbaas Sauce or Baajiya Sauce
- 5 jalapenos or serrano/seeds removed
- 1 juice of a lemon
- Water
- Salt
- Put all the ingredient in a blender and process it until smooth.
- Dip with the baajiya

- 1 basal la googooyay
- 2 xabo toon, la tumay
- 1 malqaacad yar milix
- 1 malqaacad yar geedo adari, budo
- 1 malqaacad yar khamuun, budo
- 1 basbaas akhtar, la googooyay

- Alaabta dusha ku qoran oo dhan soo qaado, mishiinka waxlagu ridqo soo qaado oo ku ridiq.
- Hadii aanad mashiin haysan waxaad isticmaali kartaa tib iyo mooye oo aad ku timikartaa.
- Waa in aanay digirtu taag taagnin ee aad sifiican u burburisaa.
- 2 saacadood yaradaa oo talaagada ku yaradaa.Hadii aad wakhti haysid.
- Saliida aad ku shiilaysay soo diyaarso oo dab dhex dhexaad ah ku shiil
- Kolba in malqaacad leeg kurid saliida saliida markay kululaato.
- Shaaxidi ilaa intuu bislaanayo.

- 5 Basbaaska Akhtarka kulul(iniinyaha ka saar hadii aanad doonayn kulayl badan)
- 1 liin dhanaan la tuujiyay

You might use flour if the batter won’t hold its shape.
Although you won’t need any flour for this recipe since there is no water added to the recipe.
