Enjoy this heartwarming lamb soup with vegetables. The base of this soup is lamb meat with the bone, which creates a rich, flavorful broth. It’s wonderful on its own or as a side dish. While bread pairs nicely with it, I personally prefer it without—thanks to the hearty vegetables, it’s satisfying enough to enjoy on its own.

Ingredients
- 2 pounds lamb bone in
- 2 potatoes chopped
- 11/2 cabbage chopped
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1/2 pound cilantro leaves
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1 inch fresh ginger, chopped
- 1 inch fresh turmeric chopped
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
Instructions
- In a blender add 1/2 cup of water along with ginger, garlic, turmeric, cilantro and green pepper and blend until smooth. set a side
- Season the meat with salt and pepper. Heat a large pot
- on a high heat sear the meat on both sides with the oil for few minutes.
- Add the potatoes, carrots to the pot and cook for few minutes then add the cabbage and cook for another minute or two and scrape down the bottom.
- Now proud the blended veggies in to the pot and cook uncovered until it boils add 3-4 cups of water and season with salt.
- Cover the pot and cook for 20 minutes until the meat cooks through and before serving squeeze some lime or lemon for extra flavor.
