Papaya juice makes a healthy sweet fruit drink especially when they are in season for sweet papaya juice use a ripe papaya.
Ingredients:
- 1 small ripe papaya
- 2 cups of water
- 1 tablespoon lime juice (optional)
- Ice cubes
Simple syrup:
- ¼ cup water
- ¼ cup sugar
Directions:
- To make the syrup :
- In a small sauce pan add the water and the sugar cook until dissolved.
- Let it cool.
- Wash papaya cut in half remove the seeds, scoop out the flesh.
- In a blender add the papaya, water, lime, ice cubes and syrup to taste.
- Blend until smooth and serve.
