Rice with Vermicelli

Ingredients
- 2 cups Basmati Rice
- 3 cups of water
- 1 cup of vermicelli
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 4 tablespoons oil
- salt
Instructions
- Wash the rice and let it soak for 30 minutes.
- Break the vermicelli noodles into small pieces. fry them with 2 tablespoons of oil on a skillet until golden color. Set aside.
- In a sauce pan add 2 tablespoons oil and fry the onions for 4 minutes.
- Add the drained rice and 3 cups water season with salt, bring to a boil turn down the heat and leave to a simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add the vermicelli to the rice and cover.
- Mix well with the rice and cover the pan and simmer on a low heat until the rice has soaked all the water and both the rice and vermicelli are tender. Add little water if needed.
